In the morning we visited post office bay, which started in 1793. Here we posted two postcards- one to each set of parents- and hope they get delivered one day since it has to be hand delivered by a future visitor, according to tradition.
As everybody forgot their flashlights we did not go deep into the lava cave but Ana was brave enough to go close to the deep opening.
Back on the beach we saw Galapagos Penguins! The only species of penguins that nest north of the equator. They are about 30 cm/1ft long and love to herd and eat sardines. Apparently Ana looked like a tasty sardine as a couple of penguins nipped at her ear and her chest. We also saw a gigantic sea turtle having a feast of sea moss- we watched it eat for 20min.
After lunch we went to Champion Island and did some more snorkeling. We saw more tropical fish and another shark!
Then we went ashore to Floreana Island where we found a salt water lagoon and a beautiful beach with dozens of sting rays, turtles and a cemetery of jellyfish.
We also saw a ghost crab.
After another beautiful sunset it was time for our last dinner aboard the Encantada.
