Day 167 Travel Day 21 July 2012

In the morning we caught a flight to Kuching on the other side of Borneo. We were too early to check into our room so we walked along the river and went to Black Bean Coffee where Martijn had a local iced espresso.

In the afternoon, after checking in and relaxing we took the advice from the hotel proprietor and went to the Sunday Market/Bazaar, which starts already on Saturday afternoon. It was a special occasion because it was the start of Ramadan and the locals would buy their goodies to take home and enjoy after sunset. We let our eyes be our guide and did our own shopping!

We took everything back to our hotel and ended up having a feast! Maybe, just maybe our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! Everything was a tasty success expect that green thing on our plates (don’t ask, we don’t know what it was and will never try it again)!
