Day 161 Monkey Madness 15 July 2012

After a leisurely breakfast at our airport Best Western hotel we took a taxi to our first destination in Borneo, Sepilok. After settling in and getting some lunch, we were about to take the shuttle to see the Rainforest Discovery Centre when we met a young British couple, saying they were taking a taxi to Labuk Bay Proboscis Monkey Sanctuary.

Since these can only be seen on the island of Borneo we joined them to an amazing display of Proboscis Monkeys (weird vulgar nosed monkeys, neusapen in Dutch).
  

As a bonus we also saw some beautiful wild hornbills up close.
