Because we knew it was open and it was delicious we headed back to the Bamboo House for more burgers. This time we were more adventurous ordering a spicy lamb burger and a tangy Hawaiian burger.
After lunch we strolled along the river to a living museum, the Villa Sentosa, where an old lady excitedly told us everything about the ten generations of her family that have lived there.
It was a very charming visit. She told us that the Malaysian king had visited, the Queen of England had acknowledged the house and the grandson of Winston Churchill had also paid a visit.

We signed the guestbook, banged the gong for good luck
and had our picture taken on the traditional Malaysian family wedding chairs.

After seeing more sites like the Church ruins
In the evening we visited the Night Market and it was like Melaka was a whole different town. Shops were open, restaurants were full and people were everywhere!
