We caught an early morning public bus to take a public mini-van to the Mountain Kinabalu National Park where we arrived around noon. Since we had absolutely no intention to climb the summit we decided to do a few trails. We started off with a climb to the waterfall viewing point.
The second trail was up to a mountain view point- unfortunately a cloud was blocking the peak.
Our last trek was a trail along the river taking us back to the park headquarters which took us about 3 hours.
We were going to catch a mini-bus back to the city but a tour guide who had just dropped off his clients kindly offered us a ride straight to our hotel - a 2 hour trip- giving us enough time to dip into the pool before going for another pizza dinner.
