After a marathon bus ride we arrived in Salta. Martijn found a very good deal on a boutique hotel and we happily enjoyed the luxury of regional white wine and a very luxurious room. We classed up the place by washing underwear in the sink.

After a short rest, we both slept relatively well on the bus, we walked around the town of Salta. We ate some Argentinean beef at a restaurant Martijn had visited before, checked out the shops that were open and quickly realized that the people of Salta take their “siestas” seriously since most stores were closed from 12:30 to 5:00. This gave us a good excuse to return to the hotel!
