Day 212 Byron Bay 4 September 2012

We were up and moving early this morning! We did the washing and the drying of laundry and dishes, ate breakfast, cut Martijn’s hair, trimmed his beard, went for a swim, cleaned out the campervan and took our daily hot shower- all before 10am!

 

We enjoyed lunch at a local bowling club/casino, where the bingo drew a massive crowd, slightly older than us though.

Then we drove to Byron Bay and visited the iconic lighthouse on Cape Byron.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We stood at the most Eastern point of mainland Australia!

We also spotted several whales. The little splash on the picture is one, trust us!

We stayed the night at one of Australia’s 5star camp sites- however we still slept in our campervan!
