We woke up a sunrise to see the kangaroos on the beach.
Then we went back to sleep until the start of low tide at 11am when we started our walk in the national park and to Wedge Island, next to Orchid Rock. It is only possible to make the passage to Wedge Island at low tide.
We saw an amazing number of crabs, varying from very small to a little too big for comfort.
We also saw a laughing kookaburra.
In the evening we saw another kangaroo hanging out by the laundry – he was more interested in eating grass than in our presence.
We made a short romantic evening walk along the shore to check out the blue moon (2 full moons in one month) before high tide brought the water 10meters/30feet away from our campervan site. Maybe Ana is not such a romantic because we were campervan-ing a little too close to the sea and the sea sounds like an old man snoring.
