Day 210 The Australia Zoo 2 September 2012

Crikey! We spent the day at the Australia Zoo!

This zoo is the life work of Steve Irwin aka the Crocodile Hunter!

 

We got to hold a Koala Bear!

 

And witnessed the famous crocodile show.

 

 

We got cozy with the kangaroos.

 

 

 

 

 

We saw our first cassowary!

In the afternoon we also visited the Glass House Mountains.

 

 

In the evening we arrived at the least appealing campervan site so far- but it was late and we knew it was right off the Bruce highway- so in the end we were lucky enough to have a safe place to park for the night!

They even had a very special set of rules in the bathroom.
