Following the advice of the bed and breakfast proprietor we walked about 20 minutes to town where we had lunch at a bakery.
We then walked around Dalat - the Paris of Vietnam - to the lake where we spent about an hour on a swan shaped paddleboat. This sounds very romantic but as Ana said "this is only fun in theory!"
We peddled all the way to the Netherlands!
We were both glad to be ashore again! We continued to walk around the lake and on our way back, we visited the local market and tried artichoke tea.
Martijn tried a different route back and this turned out to be quite the detour because we got lost. Thanks to the help of a local expat, we found our way back to the hotel with a few more travel tips in hand, where we ordered some decent (!) Mexican for dinner.
