Day 60 To mainland Vietnam 5 April 2012

Today we had to get up early to catch the boat to the mainland. There we should have been dropped in an air-conditioned bus that would bring us to Can Tho, the main city in the Mekong Delta. We and 3 other tourists were instead stuffed into a local bus with no air-conditioning. We were en route from 7am to 5pm, 10 hours door to door.



Then came the next challenge; we had agreed with the homestay proprietor that he would pick us up, however we did not know this was by moto. We both had to sit at the back of a motorcycle with our bag in the front. Ana was worried but every time she saw Martijn he had a huge smile on his face, such a guy!







The dinner at the homestay was something special, we made our own spring rolls, delicious!
