Day 61 Floating markets and rural Vietnam 6 April 2012

At 6 am we boarded a boat and we were on our way to the famous floating wholesale markets of Can Tho. We were served a nice French/Vietnamese breakfast; a roll with French like cheese and jam on the boat.

We visited the wholesale produce floating market.

On the mast of each boat the produce that could be found on the boat was dangling.

We hopped on the pineapple boat and indulged in fresh juicy pineapple.

The tour continued to see more of the rural life of the Mekong Delta. We saw a rice paper factory where we rolled out some rice paper and cut rice noodles.

We also visited a vegetable nursery.

The last stop was an impressive rice factory, showcasing the massive production of rice in the region.
