A little late but since it was still April 1st in the US, we played a little April Fool’s joke on Ana’s parents, saying that after the panic filled day we were done with travel and would return home soon.
Mom’s reaction – typical mom fashion; she completely understood and supported our decision.
Step-Dad’s reaction – typical stepdad fashion; Why? Why? Why?, give it another day, one bad day shouldn’t make you want to end the trip.
They made us laugh! Especially since today we start a new country- Vietnam
By a combination of minivan and boat we reached our new destination, Phu Quoc island in Vietnam, where we experienced a bit of a hotel mix up - one little word was different- we stayed because we were already there and bonus – it was cheaper! It was actually the original place Martijn wanted to book! We had a little swim flowed by a seaside dinner.
