Day 2 of the trekking was 8mi/13km straight uphill. We climbed, and climbed and climbed. First we had 3000 steps that removed the last of our courage. Every step was a different height and some were so large we had to kiss our knees before stepping up! After lunch the climb was a lot more gradual and we arrived, gratefully to a cabin with private shower and toilet, as well as an incredible view of snowcapped mountains. Our neighbors for the night were a rowdy bunch of love stuck donkeys.
Ana complained only once out loud, an amazing accomplishment.
