For the trekking we packed all our gear in one backpack. What we took and our poor porter had to lug-
Ana: Hiking sticks, Trekking boots, Two pairs of hiking socks, Trekking pant, Sleeping bag, Mummy liner, Thermal underwear – top and bottom, Big fleece, Pink long sleeve shirt, Pink tank top, Pink trekking shirt Underwear for the week Windbreaker Jacket Winter hat, Sun hat, Bandana, Flip-flops
Martijn: Hiking sticks, Trekking boots, Two pairs of hiking socks, Trekking pant, Sleeping bag, Mummy liner, Thermal underwear – top and bottom, Big fleece, Blue long sleeve shirt, Tan long sleeve shirt, Orange button down shirt, Underwear for the week, Windbreaker, Jacket, Winter hat, Baseball cap, Bandana, Flip-flops.
As well as a book each, a dice game and toiletries which included but was not limited to sunscreen, icy-hot and toothbrushes.
At 11 am we took a two hour bus ride into the mountains and started our trek.
Day 1 of the trek included a steep and sunny 6mi/10km climb to Tikhedhungga where we showered, ate, relaxed and slept.


Ana complained only twice out loud.
