Day 21 The trek begins Feb 26 2012

It was a mad dash to pack our gear for a week of trekking in the Annapurna Range of the Himalayas. But we managed, barely.
For the trekking we packed all our gear in one backpack. What we took and our poor porter had to lug-

Ana: Hiking sticks, Trekking boots, Two pairs of hiking socks, Trekking pant, Sleeping bag, Mummy liner, Thermal underwear – top and bottom, Big fleece, Pink long sleeve shirt, Pink tank top, Pink trekking shirt Underwear for the week Windbreaker Jacket Winter hat, Sun hat, Bandana, Flip-flops

Martijn: Hiking sticks, Trekking boots, Two pairs of hiking socks, Trekking pant, Sleeping bag, Mummy liner, Thermal underwear – top and bottom, Big fleece, Blue long sleeve shirt, Tan long sleeve shirt, Orange button down shirt, Underwear for the week, Windbreaker, Jacket, Winter hat, Baseball cap, Bandana, Flip-flops.

As well as a book each, a dice game and toiletries which included but was not limited to sunscreen, icy-hot and toothbrushes.
At 11 am we took a two hour bus ride into the mountains and started our trek.

Day 1 of the trek included a steep and sunny 6mi/10km climb to Tikhedhungga where we showered, ate, relaxed and slept.

Ana complained only twice out loud.
