Day 191 Exploring East Bali 14 August 2012

Today we headed out again to explore the east of the island. The first stop was at Kerta Gosa, also known as the old Royal Courts of Justice, which had some lovely ceiling paintings.

 

 

Then we visited the Pura Besakih, the largest and holiest Hindu temple of Bali. The temple was impressive in its magnitude.

 

It was quite the walk up there so the ladies decided to take a lift.

After lunch in between the rice fields we headed back to our little piece of paradise. At lunch we saw another of these impressive bats.
