Day 188 Exploring Mid Bali 11 August 2012

Today we spent the entire day touring around Mid Bali. We started off with the Pura Taman Ayun temple, surrounded by a beautiful garden.

 

 

 

 

Then we continued to the butterfly park which was a lot of fun since these huge Barong butterflies were tame enough to be put on our clothing.

Another attraction were these incredible stick and leaf bugs.

We visited another temple on the Batukaru, Bali's second-highest mountain.

We saw many rice terraces and had lunch overlooking them.

 

 

 

Final stop was at the Bratan Lake, where we visited the temple.

We had dinner back in Ubud and it was a little taste of home for Ana and Martijn since we ate at a Belgian Restaurant (Carbonnade à la flamande).
